Streaming into your glass with a dark purple, inky and brooding personality, this wine spent 21 months in 30% new French oak. The nose is lifted and full of black cherry, milk chocolate, blackberry, granite. The palate is full bodied, dry and smooth from a few years in the bottle to mellow. Blackberry, plum and plum skin alongside fresh baked blueberry danish. A soft finish with toasty oak. It's big, but not overpowering. Have another glass :)
Pairing: Hanger steak with blue cheese and grilled asparagus. Cheese: Upper Bench Cacao nib and cranberry King Cole.
Cellaring: Drinking well now, and you can save this through 2029.
